Meet La Sala

Introducing our new home, new exhibition series

I believe collecting is personal. Not only because of the curiosity that draws us to certain objects, but also how those objects connect us to our spaces and connect us to the people and community around us.

With this in mind, I have expanded my concept of a gallery and how it can function to inspire collecting, opening up my home in Little Village, Detroit as an exhibition space.

Each exhibition is curated in my living room, as a living room concept, in an on-going exhibition series: La Sala

Collect from La Sala | S/S ‘24 …

Carving out a distinct space for artists and objects in the IMWG program, this exhibition format also seamlessly connects the objects in the gallery to my personal space and how I live with my own collection of art, craft and design objects that I have cultivated over the past decade - ultimately, connecting back to me and my passion for supporting local artists in my work and as a collector.

This new, very personal format of IMWG not only creates a domestic oasis of craft and design from Detroit 🌴 but reinforces my belief that, through the pursuit of collecting, each of us become stewards of the culture we want to build and the history we want to preserve.

I look forward to welcoming you to my home and sharing our exciting program for the year ahead.

Stay curious,
