Kyle Huntoon is the founder, lead designer and craftsman of Hunt & Noyer. As a fourth generation woodworker, Kyle established Hunt & Noyer in 2013, opening a workshop in downtown Detroit to follow his passion for traditional woodworking and make small goods from high quality American hardwoods.
Kyle's work is driven by his belief in the importance of heirlooms. Through Hunt & Noyer, Kyle creates furniture and objects of quality, beauty and purpose that are to be passed on through the generations and stand the test of time in both utility and design. Kyle's design practice and commitment to quality craftsmanship have helped Hunt & Noyer grow into one of the leading independent furniture studios in Detroit.
In just a few short years since founding Hunt & Noyer in 2013, Kyle has been a featured contestant on Season Two of HGTV's Ellen's Design Challenge, hosted by Ellen Degeneres and a Local Maker in the West Elm Local Shop. offering both a console table and a bench, carrying the legacy of traditional woodworking techniques into contemporary design.
NEXT:SPACE is a retail platform for Hunt & Noyer furniture and house wares. NEXT:SPACE also works with Kyle Huntoon to develop bespoke design expanding the role of traditional woodworking techniques in cutting-edge contemporary design.
